The escape comes from a previously unknown source that claims to work for a company that produces iPhone screens. According to their information, the width of the dynamic island decreased to approximately 1.5 cm, from 2 cm to iPhone 16.

Due to the lack of source results, we take this reputation with a large piece of salt. Nevertheless, we wanted to cover it because there persists – albeit contradictory – rumors that Apple planned to reduce the size of the dynamic island, starting with the iPhone 17.

At the beginning of the year, the analyst Jeff was proposed that the iPhone 17 Pro Max could have a smaller dynamic island than the iPhone 17 Pro and previous models. Another escape agreed to claim that Apple would accept “metallic” for facial IDs that integrate components of transmitters and receivers, reduce the size and thickness of structural elements and lead to a smaller dynamic island on the device.

Another source claimed that a smaller dynamic cut -out would be used in a variety of iPhone 17. However, later messages suggest that these changes may not occur to the iPhone 18 Pro.

On the software side, one leak claimed that the iPhone 17 models will contain a revised user interface of the dynamic island, but did not share any specific details of the changes that are allegedly planned.
