Apple has sold 3 billion iPhone since 2007
Apple Tim Cook CEO shared that the iPhone had another milestone during the third fiscal quarter of 2025 – 3 billion sold. Apple Intelligence will be what the iPhone moves to 4 billion.
The iPhone is the most popular consumer electronic device ever exists, but it still takes quite a long time to sell billions of units. However, as Apple grows and markets are evolving, every billion comes for the iPhone.
During the earnings, the Tim Cook CEO revealed that Apple was 3 billion iPhone in the third fiscal quarter. It took a little less than four years to achieve 3 billion out of 2 billion, which was hit in September 2021.
The jump from 1 billion to 2 billion even followed. Apple first hit 1 billion iPhone sold in July 2016.
The sale of Apple’s iPhone has accelerated significantly in the last decade and could mean that 4 billion was achieved in less than three years. It seems that at least according to Tim Cook that Apple Intelligence can help drive another billion.
