The haptic technology can be excessive for many people, but the MX Master 4 still boasts an excellent design and versatile features of its predecessors. The Options+ application also provides users the ability to program their own commands to speed up routine tasks – and you have to turn the mice to charge it.

Like Razer, Mac is entering the MAS -click, Logitech hits back with the long -awaited (and wide) updates to their popular MX Master series. MX Master 3 was released back in 2019, with 3S update in 2022. 3S was not the main update, but the new MX Master 4 first took a real step forward, with Logitech Haptic feedback technology for the first time. We are, as we notice that the price remains the same, for $ 119.99/119.99 GBP, despite the introduction of new haptic technology. The MX Master 3S also remains dirty, now at a discounted price, so it is still a good alternative to the magic mouse Apple.

It is worth noting that, as with previous MX and keyboards, there is also a special Mac Master 4 edition. However, the Mac edition is not very different, simply offers the color options “Space Black” and “White Silver”, which are designed to match the current MAC models. And somewhat unpleasant is the release of the MAC the same price as the standard version – although the release of Mac lacks another wireless USB adapter provided with the standard MX Master 4, which provides an alternative to Bluetooth wireless.

That’s why we reviewed the standard MX Master 4, because we used the USB adapter rather than Bluetooth. Sadly, the left -hand version of the mouse is still not available after all these years, because Logitech engineers are obviously too busy to reflect plans in Photoshop to create a left -hand model.

At first glance, the MX Master 4 (standard version) doesn’t look much different from its predecessors. Master 4, which is available in dark or light gray, adheres to the distinctive Logitech design, with the upper panel that curls up to fit on the palm, the second scrolling wheel on the left edge of the mouse and resting.

Master 4 also has the same 8,000 dpi sensor and a high -speed scrolling wheel as its predecessor and the battery life remains the same in the 70 days of full charge.

It is true that some people may not have noticed haptic feedback first, and Logitech acknowledges that these functions are very loved by “advanced users” who want “maximum productivity”. There are many professional applications that currently support haptic feedback, but Logitech has been with Adobe to add haptic support to Photoshop and Lightroom, so the mouse can run a haptic “click” in responsibility for events such as trim or align the object to deal with.

Logitech also cooperates with other developers to help them create plugins that can add haptic support to their own applications, so that it could become a useful traitor to useful haptic feedback for users who want to streamline normal tasks in their key applications.

For home users or ordinary office workers, Logi Options+ App Pro provides another new feature called Action Ring, which is activated by pressing the Sense Panel button. The action ring appears on the screen while pressing the Sense panel and appears a circular menu with other commands you can choose. By default, the action ring is displayed a set of standard commands such as launching Notes on Mac or MAC instantly locking.

The action ring works with older MX mice, but MX Master 4 provides a haptic click in response when selecting commands. This is not a chapter of the game, but the option+ application also allows you to CustomSis Action Ring by selecting different different controls and commands that all correspond to the haptic clicking when selecting these commands.

Should you buy Logitech MX Master 4?

There is still early days for HAPTIC Technology, and there are only a handful of professional applications that currently support new haptic features, so the MX Master 4 may not be an essential upgrade for older MX owners. However, if you are looking for an alternative to the Apple magic mouse, then the MX Master 4 is one of the best micro, which is currently available for Mac. Its range of programmable buttons is much more versatile than Magic Mouse Apple, and if you are not selling on a haptic hype, then the previous MX is still suitable at a low price. However, it is a pity that Logitech is so slow in recognizing the needs of left -wing users.
